OPENXTRA Add NetPort Serial to Ethernet Cable Adaptor to Network Tool Portfolio

UK based Network and Server Room Monitoring Tools Provider OPENXTRA has added The NetPort Ethernet to RS232 Cable Adaptor to their current portfolio.

June 23, 2005 -- The NetPort is a ‘plug-and-play’ Serial to Ethernet cable adaptor that will allow any device or machine with a serial port, such as network routers, meter readers, fire and security or monitoring systems, industrial control or legacy systems to become Network and Internet enabled in an instant.

The NetPort adaptor has an in-built web server, allowing any device to which it is attached to be ‘contacted’ and monitored via an internet browser. A Configuration utility also means that the adaptor is easy to customise and at a price of just £94.95 offers considerable value for money.

NetPort can be used for fire and security panels, remote IT management, Instrumentation and measurement, buildings and industrial control, handheld computing and many other applications.
